Wine and Cheese and Chocolate Literary and Art Contest Guidelines: Deadline: December 31, 2010
Entry fee: $10. 00 for 2 flash fiction or 2 creative nonfiction essays, or 2 poems, or 2 photos, or 2 art pieces.
Multiple entries are allowed with accompanying fees, $10.00 increments for every pair of submissions in one genre. See submission guidelines below. Mail entry fees to PO Box 632, San Andreas, CA 95249. Refer to your online email submission.

Prizes:
1st and 2nd prizes in all five genres. $200 first, and $100 second. Honorable mentions will be published in the publication and payment will be in 2 copies. Competition open to US writers. Other entries may be included in the publication.

General Instructions for submitting to Manzanita Writers Press for Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate entries.
All writers must submit previously unpublished, original works.
Payment is in 2 contributor copies, unless winning a contest award, which includes extra compensation or other payment as announced.
Electronic Submission Only. Follow these requirements:
1) E-mail text must include brief biographical statement (50 words limit), contact information (address, phone, e-mail) and RIGHTS statement (pasted into each submission e-mail. Scroll down to see rights statement below).
2) All literature and art work must be submitted by e-mail and attachments must be in Word, 12 pt. font and saved as an older 1998-2003 Word file, OR pasted into the body of the email, or attached or embedded in email as a rich text file.
3) Send a separate e-mail for each submission and label as follows:
Subject Line must include: a)genre b)last name, first name c) title.
Example: Poetry--Bard, Jason-- "Foothill Lament"
Example: Photography--Larson, Joan--"
Poetry Submissions
Submit with spacing as it the poem will appear on the page. Place poet’s last name and title of each poem in top right corner. Please type in “stanza break” if the poem continues to a second page and a stanza break occurs.
Note: the following may affect selection determination
Flash Fiction Submissions
Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, double-spaced. Place shortened title of the work and last name in top right corner of every page with pagination.
Art and Photography
Black and White Photography/ Color Photography/and Art Submissions for review, submit work for viewing or a link to art work to be viewed, or as an attachment as follows: JPEG (.jpg) high resolution, minimum 300 dpi. Small size: 3-4 inches.

Paste the RIGHTS statement below into EVERY e-mail submission. Submissions without this RIGHTS statement accompanying the work will not be read.

Should it be accepted for publication by any other publishing concern after submission, I will immediately inform Manzanita Writers Press contact editors via e-mail. By submitting the work to Manzanita Writers Press, I grant Manzanita Writers Press one time rights to publish the work and to be posted in an archives or collection online for viewing.
